About Us

A little about Michael:

Michael was born and raised in Oklahoma City. He gave his heart to the Lord at the age of 12 years old while attending a Don Francisco concert. Soon after his salvation experience, the Lord spoke to Michael’s heart about serving Him in ministry. In 1996, the Lord opened the door for him to attend Master’s Commission at Christian Worship Center in Manteca, California. Mike was deeply impacted and changed during his first year in Master’s Commission. During this year, God placed a burden in Mike’s heart to see the Japanese people come to Christ. This burden has continued to grow over time. Desiring more of God, Mike stayed with Master’s Commission for four more years and co-directed the ministry during his last year.  He then entered Christian Worship Center’s Bible school and pastoral internship program receiving his pastoral ordination in May of 2004. In 2002, during his pastoral internship, Mike was a part of a church-planting team that helped establish Christian Worship Center in Sacramento. During the next 6 years, he served on the pastoral team at Christian Worship Center. While living in Sacramento, Mike met his wife Kara, and they married in April of 2005. Their first born son, Isaiah, was born April 6th, 2008.

A little about Kara:

Kara is a native of California and grew up in the Sacramento area. Growing up with Christian parents, she came to know the Lord as a young child. In 1996, she graduated from Hesston College in Hesston, KS with a degree in nursing. After graduating from nursing school, she lived and worked in Kansas City for three years where she attended Metro Christian Fellowship pastored by Mike Bickle. During this time, she was deeply impacted by his teachings on fervent passion for Christ as well as the house of prayer movement started in Kansas City in May of 99’. Several years after returning to California, Kara received an opportunity to work as a missionary teacher at a Christian school in Tokyo, Japan. Having felt a burden for missions since childhood, this opportunity was an answer to prayer. She lived in Japan from August of 2001 through June of 2002 working as a teacher at Fountain of Life International School , assisting with evangelism at Tokyo Institute of Technology, and helping with worship at Fountain of Life Christ Church. This experience along with several short trips back to Japan, have left her with a deep-seeded burden to see the Japanese people come to Christ. Kara met her husband-to-be in February 2004 and they married in April 2005. Their first born son, Isaiah, was born April 6th, 2008. Presently, Kara works as a pediatric nurse at a hospital Northern California.

A little about both of us:

In July of 2006, while serving at Christian Worship Center, Mike and Kara helped facilitate and lead a mission trip to Japan. On this trip, they brought a team of seven people and worked with Fountain of Life Christ Church in Tokyo, New Hope Church of Yokohama, and YWAM and New Hope Church of Osaka doing evangelistic outreaches through street concerts utilizing worship music and hip hop. During the mission trip, God began speaking to Mike and Kara about starting a ministry to help the churches and ministries in Japan reach out to the Japanese people through the Christian arts.
