Jennifer Gracie – Tokyo Japan

Born and raised in Alaska, “Land of the Midnight Sun,” Jennifer Gracie arrived in Japan, “Land of the Rising Sun” in January of 1999. Since that time, she’s had opportunity to work with the body of Christ in a very broad spectrum of platforms and settings. Ranging from house church networks, overseeing & consulting short-term missionary teams from IHOP in Kansas City, mentoring & coaching leaders, film/multimedia & print-media production, healing & deliverance ministry, founding & establishing a house of prayer in the heart of Tokyo and most recently, participating in relief efforts in the areas most affected by the March 11, 2011 earthquake/tsunami/nuclear power plant disaster and so much more.

Founded in November 2008, Jennifer is director of The Altar International House of Prayer, Tokyo which is a ministry modeled after the tabernacle of David (day and night, continuous prayer & worship) and Isaiah 56.7 “these I will bring to my holy mountain and give them joy in my house of prayer…. for my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.”  The vision at The Altar is one of seeing “all heaven break loose” as day & night worship and prayer is established.

Jennifer’s vision is to equip the saints for the works of ministry by providing support to leaders, churches and ministries on how to pioneer their own prayer and worship initiatives as well as helping them encounter intimacy with God in a fresh and deeper way, leading ultimately lead to reformation and transformation of nations.

She’s spent the last decade investing in and developing relationships and building networks with local and international churches & ministry organizations both inside and outside of Japan. Because of this, the Lord’s given her a unique global, as well as localized view of what God is doing within Japan. She also recognizes how the movement of God in Japan fits with what He’s doing among the nations of the earth in this hour. He truly is drawing all men to Himself!

Jennifer’s personal monthly expenses for housing, utilities, transport, food, etc., range between $3,500-$4,000 USD with the current exchange rates. Estimated annual budget of operations expenses for The Altar House of Prayer in Tokyo are in the $500,000 USD range.

Both Jennifer and The Altar are looking for long term partners who will lift them up in prayer as well as sow into them financially that they may accomplish the vision God has set before them.
